A “vicious tackler and excellent pass defender,” Randy Hall roamed the Idaho secondary from 1971-73.
The 1973 first-team All-Big Sky selection sits at first in Idaho history in interception return average, taking his eight career picks back 205 total yards for an average of 25.6 yards each. His four interceptions in 1972 led the team. Hall helped lead the 1971 team hold seven of its 11 opponents to 14 points or fewer, including four games of three or fewer points, en route to a Big Sky team title. The Baltimore Colts selected Hall in the 13th round of the 1974 NFL Draft. Hall later became the mayor of nearby Genesee.
