Larry Jackson

Larry was a native of Boise and attended the University of Idaho.

He played American Legion baseball in Boise and went to the major leagues where he played for the  St. Louis Cardinals for eight years, the Chicago Cubs for three years and the Philadelphia Phillies for three years. His major league record was 194 wins and 183 losses, with a best season record of 24-11 in 1964. Jackson was elected to the National League All-Star team four times and his lifetime ERA in the major leagues was 3.40. Jackson was elected to the Idaho state legislature after retiring from baseball.
