During its existence the University of Idaho ski team attracted student-athletes from all over the world and Eirik Berggren is one who left an indelible mark.
Berggren was a three-time national champion for the Vandals, earning two titles in Nordic combined (1955 and 1956) and one in cross country skiing (1956). He was an All-American in 1955 and 1956, and was later chosen to the 1957 Northwest All-Star Team.
