Bret Hyde

Bret is a graduate of Wallace High School. Besides excelling in academics, he was an outstanding distance runner. Upon graduation, he was accepted as a candidate to the U.S. Air Force Academy.

During his stay at the Academy, he set many records in cross country and distance running events. He graduated with a B.S. Degree in Engineering Mechanics and as a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Air Force. He subsequently obtained his Masters Degree in Logistics Management at the Air Force Institute of Technology. He continued his running competition while serving in various command positions for the Air Force.

He has represented the Air Force many times in outstanding U.S. and World meets in the 3,000, 5,000 10,000 and 12.000 meter races. He has likewise been outstanding in cross country and marathons in worldwide competitions. Bret has been awarded several awards for his outstanding leadership ability and has worked his way up to the rank of Lt. Colonel.

His present position is Chief, War Plans Branch. Logistics Plans Division. Directorate of Logistics. Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.
